What this is
Peli is a subscription service from Campbell Venture Studio. It publishes dramatized history: audio drama written from historical sources and performed by synthetic voices.
The dialogue is written, not quoted. Every line carries an attribution — drawn from a cited source, reconstructed from one, or invented for the drama — and each episode ends by saying which was which. Treat it as drama built on history, not as a record of what was said.
Your account
You need an account to play a whole episode, because a subscription is tied to an account rather than to a device. Keep access to the email address you signed up with; it is how you sign in.
Subscriptions
$4.99 a week or $39.99 a year. The first episode of each season is free. A subscription renews until you cancel it, and one subscription works on the website and in the apps whichever you bought it through.
Bought on the website, it is billed by Stripe and you can cancel from your account page. Bought in the App Store or Google Play, it is billed by Apple or Google and you cancel it there — we cannot cancel or refund it for you, and deleting your account does not stop it.
If the price changes, the change applies from your next renewal and you will be told before it takes effect.
What you may do with it
Listen, for yourself. Do not redistribute the audio, republish it, or use it to train a model. The episodes, artwork and scripts belong to Campbell Venture Studio; the historical sources they are built from do not, and each episode names them.
Ending it
Cancel whenever you like and access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. You can delete your account at any time from the account page or from Settings in the app.
We may suspend an account that is sharing credentials or redistributing episodes.
The unglamorous part
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
